Debi’s primary training is in the field of social work. She is a LCSW and has more than 15 years of experience working with youth and young adults. Prior to moving to Maine recently, she was the high school social worker in a school in northeastern Massachusetts for eight years. She has also coached basketball and volleyball, co-taught a Wellness in the Wilderness class, facilitated professional development for high school staff, and was a member of Staff for Racial Justice at her high school. She has had her own part-time private practice for the past four years and has loved working with young adults in this capacity.
Debi loves to think outside the box in her work with students. She often incorporates the outdoors, creativity, music, and somatic work in her practice. She is excited to join the MECA&D Counseling team and bring with her her energy, passion, and vision.
