Heather Flor Cron '20 named Indigo Arts Alliance's Black Seed Resident

As a lifelong Portlander, the space Indigo Arts holds for Black and Brown artists in Maine has been empowering to witness. I am excited and honored to share space and work with the incredible artists at Indigo Arts.
Heather Flor Cron '20 named Indigo Arts Alliance's newest Black Seed Resident

Congratulations to alumna Heather Flor Cron '20 on her appointment as Indigo Arts Alliance's newest Black Seed Resident!

Flor, a queer Peruvian-American farmer, performer, and transdisciplinary artist, uses performance and art crafted with readymade, available materials to locate the present moment and the relationship between her two cultures. She explores the defeat and transformation of trauma through the twin powers of vulnerability and forgiveness, and how exposing pain can transcend trauma. Flor lives in Portland and works with Presente! Maine.

Through this program for Black and Brown artists residing in Maine, Flor will have access to a dedicated 1,000 sq foot studio facility and fellowship award.
