Gary Robinov '04
White Dog Arts has given Gary the platform from which he can continue to explore and grow.
Gary Robinov is a filmmaker based in Portland, Maine. After graduating from the Maine College of Art in 2004 with a self-designed focus in documentary film, he co-founded White Dog Arts with 2 fellow MECA alums. White Dog Arts specializes in digital media and independent film.
White Dog has given Gary the platform from which he can continue to explore and grow in his understanding of production, editing and overall storytelling while working with such clients as the filmmaker Kevin Breslin, artists Charlie Hewitt, Alison Hildreth, and Randy Regier; corporate clients such as Timberland Corp., Anthropology, and Cisco; and numerous other private, corporate, and nonprofit clients.
Gary produced, directed, and edited his first feature documentary Canvas Man: The Robbie Ellis Story in 2009 and has worked on several other documentary and narrative projects including Raising Ali: a Lewiston Story, a short documentary on the 50th Anniversary of the Ali/Liston fight in Lewiston, Maine.
