Michelle Carpenter holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Art Education from Boston University, and a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University. She maintains a deep, lifelong connection to Maine, which began in childhood when she enjoyed summers spent on Fortunes Rocks Beach. Michelle has been an artist for as long as she can remember, and enjoys painting, drawing, collaging, and exploring art museums. She is committed to supporting the arts, and is passionate about art education, community engagement, and inclusivity. Michelle is eager to bring her enthusiasm for art and art history, along with her experience in nonprofit arts organizations, to Maine College of Art & Design.
