Associate Director of Admissions and Graduate Recruitment
Dept. : Admissions, BFA, MAT, MFA, Salt at MECA
Adrienne Kitko was born and raised in Connecticut. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Ceramics, she was invited by a friend to visit her friend’s family home that was located on an island off of Maine’s rocky coast, called Cliff Island. Falling in love with the salty, sweet air and nature’s pristine scenery, Adrienne constructed her plan to move to Portland, Maine.
Adrienne’s acceptance to Maine College of Art’s Master of Arts in Teaching program was the catalyst she needed to finally reside in the great state of Maine. Currently, Adrienne is an Admissions Counselor at MECA for MAT and Salt candidates.
- Past Board member of Camp Conejo, a Girl Scout camp located in Thousand Oaks, California.
- Taught in the Preschool arena for 10 years in Connecticut and Maine.
- Taught ceramics in MECA’s Pre-College program.
Adrienne can easily geek out about the most recent documentary she watched, the ceramic artist she just discovered, or about last night’s meal she cooked up.
