VAN USE POLICY & GUIDELINES
Please read and understand this policy in full before continuing this process.
VAN DRIVER APPROVAL PROCESS
Full and part-time faculty and staff who wish to become eligible to drive the van must complete the following steps:
- Submit valid driver’s license to Melissa Sullivan to be added to the College’s insurance policy. This can take 3-5 business days so please provide your license well in advance of your first trip.
- Must have valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for at least the past two years.
- Once the license information has been processed and driver candidates are cleared:
- Drivers must read, sign, and follow the Van Use Policy and submit to Melissa Sullivan.
Step 1: Review van use policy and guidelines; complete the Van Driver Approval Process above if not completed already.
Step 2: Submit an email directly to firstname.lastname@example.org with your requested date(s) and time(s). If you have alternate times and dates that would also work, send those along too so Megan doesn’t have to double back with you if the van is already reserved.
You will receive confirmation via email whether or not the request can be accommodated.
Step 3: On the day of requested use, pick-up keys from the front desk of Porteous. Van is located in the Holiday Inn Parking Garage off Spring St.
Step 4: Return van with a full tank of gas and bring keys to the front desk of Porteous. Email email@example.com to confirm the return of the van and indicate any issues.
