Funded by Maine College of Art & Design’s Artists at Work Program, two fellowships are offered annually to BIPOC alumni, one for an MFA alum and for a BFA alum. The fellowships fund all residency fees for alumni that have been accepted into the Mass MoCA artist residency program for up to two weeks in residence.

Eligibility

BIPOC alumni of the BFA and MFA programs at MECA&D who have been accepted into the Mass MoCa residency program.

Non graduated alums, SALT graduates, Post Baccalaureate graduates, Continuing Studies faculty and students are ineligible to apply. 

Application Instructions

To apply, simply select the appropriate box on the fellowships question of the MASS MoCA’s residency application. There is no separate application for this opportunity. Be sure to also indicate whether you would like to be considered for a regular residency at the Studios at MASS MoCA, if you are not awarded this special fellowship residency. All applicants must first be accepted through the regular jurying process to receive this fellowship.
