Artist Talk with Jackie Brown

Please join us for an artist talk by Jackie Brown, a sculpture installation artist whose work stems from an interest in nature, science, and living systems. She exhibits work nationally including installations at the Roy G Biv Gallery in Columbus, Ohio, the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts in Wilmington, Delaware, and the Saratoga Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, New York. Brown was recently an artist-in-residence at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana and an artist-in-residence at Emmanuel College in Boston, Massachusetts. She is currently the Marvin H. Green Jr. Assistant Professor of Art at Bowdoin College and she has an upcoming installation at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, which opens November 11th. Brown received her MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and her BA from Hamilton College.
