Pickwick Independent Press, a community printmaking facility located in Portland’s downtown Arts District, will hold its second annual Pickwick and Friends Print Fair on Saturday, July 22, 2017, from 10 AM to 4 PM, in Congress Square Park. The Director of Pickwick Press is Pilar Nadal MFA ’13 and was founded by Lisa Pixley ’07
Pickwick Independent Press is organizing the Fair in conjunction with the Friends of Congress Square Park. More than 25 Maine printmakers, collectives, and organizations will exhibit and sell their work, including Pickwick Independent Press, Wolfe Editions, members from Running with Scissors, members from Peregrine Press, Future Mothers, Wing Club Press, Publication Studio, Lisa Pixley, Hannah Hermes, Scott Minzy, and more! Participants will demonstrate a variety of printmaking processes and will sell hand printed fine art, functional wares, cards and stationery, and everything in between.
The Print Fair will highlight some of the amazing printmaking currently being done in Maine, and will draw attention to the many makers of multiples in the state.
