Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday

Dear MECA&D Community,

As Thanksgiving approaches, I would like to wish each and every one of you a healthy and safe start to the holiday season.

I am very grateful that so many of us are able to visit with our friends and families once again this year. The global pandemic has reminded us to truly appreciate simple pleasures like seeing family, sharing a meal together, and reflecting on our lives. We come to the table this year confident that we can adapt to incredible change and thankful for the new tools available to help keep us safe and healthy.

Here at Maine College of Art & Design, we have been very fortunate to study and work together without interruption. Our talented and dedicated faculty members continue to educate artists and designers, to embolden a diverse group of creative thinkers to ask questions and solve problems, and to motivate students of all pursuits to make art, make an impact, and inspire change. Above all, I am grateful this year to our extended community and supporters for their efforts to help our students further enrich our world for decades to come.

Gratitude is the memory of the heart; thank you for all you do to keep our community thriving and our hearts full.

Most sincerely,

Laura Freid
