PORTLAND, ME — April 18, 2023 — Maine College of Art & Design (MECA&D) is pleased to present two thesis exhibitions celebrating the Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art class of 2023. Presented in collaboration with the Institute for Contemporary Art at Maine College of Art & Design (ICA), the work in each exhibition represents the synthesis of graduate candidates’ experience in the MFA program.
The presentation of theses is divided between two exhibitions: April 22-29, 2023 and May 12-20, 2023. The former includes an opening reception Friday, April 21 from 5:00–7:00pm, with an opening reception for the latter on Thursday, May 11 from 5:00–7:00pm. Both exhibitions are free and open to the public at the ICA Wednesday through Sunday, 12:00-5:00pm.
Maine College of Art & Design’s MFA program allows students to choose a campus-based full residency, including 24/7 access to facilities, or low residency, which combines shorter intense periods of on-campus instruction with the freedom to work from a home studio.
