Maine College of Art & Design Opens Its 2021 Holiday Sale Online
“Little Something Co. is a trio of MECA alumni that share a knack for collecting stickers. Our time at MECA&D helped us find our personal styles and hone in on our interests and strengths…. [it] also gave us a strong foundation to build off of. We’re thrilled to be participating in an event that supports local artists as well as MECA&D students.”

PORTLAND, ME — November 19, 2021 — Maine College of Art & Design (MECA&D) is pleased to announce the start of its 2021 Holiday Sale, which will run online from Friday, November 19 through Friday, December 10, 2021. The shop features more than 300 items by 43 participating artists.
This year’s Holiday Sale will support the incredible community of MECA&D artists, including faculty, staff, alumni, students, and friends, featured on an online platform hosted by the College. All of the proceeds from the sale will go to support both the participating artists and provide scholarship funds to current MECA&D students.
“The Maine College of Art & Design Holiday Sale presents an opportunity for us to showcase and support the talent of our remarkable community,” said President Laura Freid. “We are so proud that we have been able to continue this tradition even through the pandemic, when we moved from an in-person to a more accessible online model. We invite everyone to take a look as you do your holiday shopping this year. You will be playing an important role in supporting the arts and artists, and potentially come away with some wonderfully unique items to share with your friends and family.”
Holding this year’s sale online provides gift-givers everywhere with the chance to explore and purchase the curated selection of handmade arts, crafts, and gifts for the upcoming holiday season, including top picks from Maine Magazine.
