The Bicycle Coalition of Maine hosted the 2015 Portland Great Maine Bike Swap on Sunday, April 26 at the USM Sullivan Recreation & Fitness Complex in Portland. Hundreds of bikes in varying prices ranges were featured at the unofficial kick-off to the Maine cycling season and local bike shops sold helmets, bike parts, gear, and accessories.

Maine College of Art & Design has partnered with the Bicycle Coalition of Maine before on events such as Bike Light Giveaway, where members of the Coalition educated commuters on the safety of using bike lights and remaining visible during their rides. Many MECA&D community members are avid cyclists and often take advantage of events hosted by the Coalition. The bike swap is a great way for fellow cyclists to connect in the community and encourage green transportation.
