Spring BFA Merit Scholarship Competition & Exhibition is on view!

The walls are alive on the three floors of the MECA&D Porteous Building filled with work from every medium. Each year, the BFA Merit Show exhibition invites students of good academic standing to compete for scholarship prizes.

The Spring Merit Competition is a grant-funded exhibition that is open to second and third year students who have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Those who choose to exhibit are then considered by a jury of faculty that represent the breadth of the College.

Winners from the 2022 competition will be awarded during a private ceremony in the MECA&D Cafe on Thursday, April 28. Students can win awards in the following categories: Best in Show; Second Place, Third Place, Fourth Place, and Honorable Mentions; Outstanding 2D Work; Outstanding 3D Work; and Jury Select.

Students, faculty, staff, and visitors from MECA&D Accepted Students Days are encouraged to explore and enjoy the creativity that went into making these installations come to life now through Friday, May 6.
