The family of Barbara Rita Jenny (MFA ’02) established the Maine College of Art Baie Ste Marie Artist & Family Residency in 2008. Located in New Edinburgh, Nova Scotia, the Baie Ste Marie Residency is open to Maine College of Art degree-holding alumni, current faculty, and staff. This summer residency is distinguished not only by its incomparable location on the rugged Atlantic Coast of Canada, but because residents may bring their families.

The 2018 residents are Heather Beard MFA ’05, Jennifer Moller MFA ’03, Kyle Downs ’07, and Caren-Marie Michel ’78.

The selection committee was comprised of SALT faculty member Colin Cheney, Maine College of Art Alumni Council member Leon Anderson ’83, and Barbara Rita Jenny MFA ’02.
