Congratulations to the recipients of the 2017 Professional Development and Entrepreneurship Grants.
These grants help BFA, MFA, and MAT students advance their studio and professional skills by accessing opportunities and experiences beyond the MECA&D classroom. Potential uses include but are not limited to: conferences, travel, exhibition costs, professional association fees, self-promotion, technology, documentation, workshops and costs associated with entrepreneurial efforts. Funds cannot be used on equipment or for academic credit towards the completion of your undergraduate degree.
The 2017 grants were awarded to six BFA students:
Sarah Belhumeur ’18, Digital Media, minor in Drawing
Sarah will use the funds for travel to the Game Developers Conference and the CTN Animation Expo.
Emmett Freeman ’17, Ceramics
Emmett will use the funds to upgrade his website and work on the site’s search engine optimization.
Meg Hahn ’17, Painting, minor in Art History
Meg will use the funds to support her residencies at both Hewnoaks Artist Colony and Monhegan Artists Residency.
Ellanor Milkowski Dahlgren ’17, Printmaking
Ellanor will use the funds to support her attendance at the Bread and Puppet Apprenticeship in Glover, Vermont.
Catherine Quattrociocchi ’17, Metalsmithing & Jewelry
Cat will use the funds to develop a craft show exhibition environment.
Lewis Rossignol ’17, Illustration
Lewis will use the funds for printing and self-promotion on social media.
