2015 MECA&Dmorphosis Held in Conjunction with First Friday Artwalk
MECA&Dmorphosis celebrated the 2015 Thesis Exhibition and introduced over 80 emerging artists graduating from Maine College of Art & Design in the BFA program, as well as raised critical scholarship funds to educate the next generation of artists.
Held in collaboration with Portland’s First Friday Art Walk, access to the 2015 Thesis Exhibition was free and open to the public at the May 1, 2015 event. There was light fare and interactive art throughout the College’s historic Porteous Building. The evening included a ticketed Runway Fashion Show in the ICA, which premiered the collections of the majors in Textile and Fashion Design, followed by a ticketed Artist’s Party.
MECA&Dmorphosis 2015 was generously supported by our lead sponsor, TD Bank as well as media sponsors Maine Magazine and Maine Home + Design. MECA&D's Advancement Office managed the event.
