Not Your Average Farm
Cara Stadler, a chef in Brunswick, Maine, is so concerned about being environmentally sustainable that she’s building her own farm behind one of her restaurants, Tao Yuan. It’s not like your average vegetable farm though, it’s an aquaponics farm. Canopy Farms will grow both produce and rainbow trout to supply Cara’s restaurants.
Robyn Edgar has two science degrees, but chose to leave the research world behind to pursue a career in radio. Now a radio student at the Salt Institute for Documentary studies, Robyn is working on bridging the gap between science and communication. Her projects include a profile about a shark researcher and an aquaponics farm being built in Brunswick, Maine.
