  • Permission to Proceed to Fall term, granted by MFA Chair

  • 14-15 week term
  • Low Residency students from their home studio
  • Full Residency on campus in Portland
  • Winter Intensive in Early December: students return to Portland
  • 1st year research trip to New York

Year 1: Spring

  • 14-15 week term
  • Low Residency students from their home studio
  • Full Residency on campus in Portland
  • Permission to Proceed to 2nd year, granted by MFA Chair


Year 2: Summer

  • 8 weeks

  • Full and Low residency students
  • Permission to Proceed to Fall term, granted by MFA Chair

Year 2: Fall

  • 14-15 week term
  • low residency students from their home studio
  • full residency on campus in Portland
  • International research trip for 2nd year students (early fall)

  • May Intensive for all graduating students
