Maine College of Art is a special place. It is a close-knit, student-centered community where faculty mentor and support students. It is a place where you will be challenged both creatively and intellectually, encouraged to take risks, and supported in your exploration of the arts and of yourself as an artist.

Our faculty are accomplished artists and designers as well as excellent teachers who are committed first and foremost to students. Small class sizes encourage easy interaction and informal relationships.

Our students hail from 43 states and 16 countries, some coming directly from high school, others already having completed college credits elsewhere, and still others bringing significant professional experience. Their interests and backgrounds are varied, but they have in common an unusual commitment to the arts and to nurturing their talent.
