Amy Cousins, Assistant Professor
Amy Cousins is a middle level art educator who has taught students in grades 6 through 8 at Gorham Middle School since 1997. Amy's strengths include instruction in Discipline Based Art Education and integration of technology with both core academic subjects and within the art curriculum. She has worked with classroom teachers and special education teachers to accommodate students needs and enhance their art experiences by providing a structured learning environment that fosters individual creative expression.
An advocate for art education, Amy has coordinated several student art shows, multiple clay bowl projects and photograph auctions for charitable purposes. She has also served on the Percent for Art committees to select works of art for the Gorham Middle School and the Great Falls Elementary School.
