continuing studies & early college : classes for teens

Since 1975, MECA has offered classes designed to allow students in grades 7–12 to explore their interests in the visual arts. Instructors are practicing artists selected for their teaching strengths. Classes introduce students to a variety of mediums including painting, drawing, cartooning, animation, ceramics, jewelry, photography, and video. Classes include personal and group critique sessions that point to ways for students to strengthen students' work. Special classes for students grade 10-12 focus on portfolio development.
