early college
:
application and financial aid
Eligibility
Early College 2008 is open to students who have completed the sophomore, junior, or senior year of high school as of June 2008. Although a portfolio is not required for entrance to the program, it is expected that students be strongly committed to four weeks of intensive daily studio classes and additional evening and weekend open studios. Students are expected to focus intently on their artwork, regardless of what skill level they bring to the start of the program.
Application Procedures
Since the program has limited spaces, early applications are strongly encouraged. Applications are accepted until June 1.
Complete applications include the following: application form, recommendation letter from an art teacher or counselor, an official high school transcript, a one-page essay stating your reasons for wanting to attend Early College, and a $40 application fee. All of these must be received before the application can be considered. There are no admission tests or portfolio requirements.
Accepted students will receive a roommate questionnaire, health forms, and other materials.

Financial aid applications, including all supporting materials, must be received by March 1, 2008. Financial aid award notifications will be mailed March 15.
