undergraduate admissions : special students

Applicants who are interested in attending MECA for one or two semesters, enrolling in a limited program of study tailored to specific goals or interests, may seek admission on a special student basis. Special students are non-matriculated students who have previously earned an undergraduate degree and/or have significant studio experience. Applicants follow the same application process as degree-seeking applicants. Special students wishing to enroll in a major level course must have a portfolio review with the appropriate department chair.
Special students are not eligible for financial aid and pay the same tuition and fees as matriculated students.
