Program Director and Coordinator of Interdisciplinary Studio.
Katarina studied environmental design, and art, graduating from Arizona  State, and Cranbrook Academy of Art. She has traveled widely through Iran, Kurdistan, India and Indonesia researching cloth in systems of cultural exchange. For the past two decades she has been developing a multidisciplinary practice that questions how we perceive, understand and make meaning through materiality, space, memory and cultural identity. Her work takes form in cross-media installation, collaborative efforts, video and photography. She is the recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, Maine Art Commission and the Payson Foundation. Recent work has been shown at the Finish Embassy (Washington), Mass MoCA, and the Women’s Museum (Washington). She has lectured widely, including, Maryland Art Institute, Chicago Art Institute, Temple University, Ohio State University, Cranbrook Academy of Art, Academy of Fine Arts Chennai, India, Tel Aviv Museum, and the Bezalel Academy of Art, Jerusalem.
