Meghan Scribner MFA '02
Meghan earned her MFA with an emphasis on mixed media sculpture, and her BA with an emphasis in painting, photography and sculpture, from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York. She is also an art therapist and professional counselor, with an MA in Expressive Therapies from Lesley College in Cambridge. She has extensive teaching experience and has taught at Vermont College’s MFA Visual Arts Program and as a sabbatical replacement at MECA. She developed and facilitated expressive art therapy groups at the Cancer Community Center in South Portland and the AIDS Project in Portland. She was awarded a best sculpture award at a juried show at the Foreman Gallery in Oneonta, New York in 1991. Her work was included in the current "The Disembodied Spirit" show at the Bowdoin College Museum of Art, MECA’s 2002 Faculty Show, and the 2001 Sacred & Profane multimedia performance on Peaks Island.
