Mark Marchesi '99
Mark says, "Photography is the way I express my world view. . . My pictures poke fun at petty idiosyncrasies, highlight environmental atrocities, or simply celebrate glimpses of quiet beauty. . . Photography is a communication tool, and I strive for a high level of honesty and visual eloquence." After earning his BFA in Photography at MECA, Mark has worked as a digital photographic printer at Portland Color in Portland, Maine, as a freelancer in video and photography, and as a production assistant at Photographix in San Diego, California. His work has been shown at the "Berkeley Video and Film Festival" at the East Bay Media Arts Center in Berkeley, California, White Columns Gallery in New York City, the "Portland Shorts Festival" in Congress Square in Portland, Maine, and the Ceres Gallery in New York City.
