Lisa Hale '02
Lisa says that her work "is a reflection of marks recorded from rural and urban environments, where forms intersect and thereby shape communities. . . Viewers are invited to interact with this work as a means of giving voice to the myriad of ways individuals touch, build and design." Lisa studied at the University of Maryland and San Francisco State University before coming to MECA, where she received four scholarship awards. She is currently a drawing teacher at the Idyllwild Arts Academy in Idyllwild, California. In 2002, she created curriculum as part of an "Art in Your Community" project at the Cathedral School in Portland. Her work has been shown at the Morris Graves Museum of Art and the Ink People Center for the Arts, both in Eureka, California, as well as a faculty show at the Parks Exhibition Center in Idyllwild, California and other venues.
