Shannon Dorr '02
Shannon has a BFA in Sculpture from MECA and also studied at Moore College of Art & Design. While at MECA, she was involved in two internships. She created and facilitated art activities with troubled teens as part of the Saco Transition Program and facilitated an art therapy group for women coping with substance abuse as part of the Crossroads for Women project. She says, "Perception of thought and emotion allows the mysterious to become seductive and, in turn, has the ability to quell the chronic desire to embrace the unknown. This sense of the external influencing the internal materializes and propels itself outward visually for the self to reflect upon and to investigate."
