David Casella '96
David Casella says about his work in the Alumni/ae Exhibition 2003, "With these two boxes I was incorporating the possibilities of 'cold connections’ and the use of repetition and pattern." He received his BFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry and is currently the lead production artist at Hessel Studios in San Rafael, California where he oversees and implements all aspects of production, including the fabrication of candlesticks, candelabra and bud vases that are sold and distributed nationwide. He is also a jewelry instructor at The Crucible in Oakland, California and was previously an independent jewelry designer and metalsmith for DAC-METALS. His work has been shown at the Velvet da Vinci gallery in San Francisco, the Oakland Museum in Oakland, California and the Richmond Art Center in Richmond, California. He is an active member of the San Francisco, California Metal Arts Guild and a member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG).
