Allison Cooke Brown '01
Allison Cooke Brown earned a BFA with Honors in Sculpture from MECA. In addition she has degrees from Skidmore College’s "University Without Walls" program and Bradford Junior College. Her work has recently been included in a textile art show at the Currier Gallery in Manchester, New Hampshire; a juried members show at The Center for Book Arts in New York; and a juried "Cambridge Art Association National Prize Show 2002" in Cambridge, Massachusetts. While at MECA, she received the Laurence and Judy Sisson Traveling Fellowship to Florence, Italy and a Payson Merit Scholarship for artistic excellence. In addition, she has taught quiltmaking and run her own needlepoint design business. Her work is in the permanent collections of Yale University, Smith College, Bowdoin College and the Yarmouth Public Library, among other places.
