MECA's Annual Fund is one of the most critical sources of support for the College. With a modest endowment, the college relies on tuition dollars to support the College's scholarship programs, faculty salaries, departmental budgets and most of the operating budget. The Annual Fund is meant to provide the College with unrestricted operating income to help offset the heavy demands on our tuition revenue.

As the Annual Fund grows, more of MECA's endowment can be directed toward scholarship aid, faculty development and academic programming. A robust Annual Fund can have a profound effect on the very life of the institution.

MECA's alumni body is small. While most of our graduates work hard to maintain a balance between their art and making a living, many alumni/ae give annual gifts to the College for which we are most grateful. Alumni support helps keep the institution strong and growing. Participation from our graduates is a key ingredient in annual rankings and ratings, which, in turn, have an effect on our recruitment of prospective students. MECA's reputation continues to grow. Annual Giving is part of the formula.

Alumni, parents, grandparents, friends, companies and foundations give generously each year to the Annual Fund. For parents, it may be the joy of seeing their child thrive and develop as an artist while at MECA. For our individual and corporate friends, it might be the desire to support a nationally respected professionally-accredited school of art and design.
